Chamomille here!
I hope you are all keeping safe and are well.
This week I've been busy exploring outdoors and enjoying playing in that beautiful spring sunshine.
This gave me an idea on how we can be creative!
I wonder if we could all create pictures with the leaves we find outdoors?
I sent Little Elms on an investigation to discover leaves in little garden.
I wonder if you could find leaves in your gardens, parks or out and about whilst out exercising!

Using the leaves we have found, we decided to create pictures with the leaves.
We used glue and started sticking the leaves down to create a picture.
Some of the children wanted to use paint and so we added paint to our pictures.
We enjoyed painting the leaves and adding the paint to our pictures.
Do you think you could make pictures with the leaves? I wonder what you can make?
Don't forget, as many of you are in isolation please take photos of your creations and ask a grown up to send them by email to littleelmsnurseryworthing@gmail.com so I can print them off as well as send them on to Heaton House to the Nannies and Nigel.
I can't wait to see your creations!
See you soon,

This is an experience I know you all love and have explored many times at nursery. I love the funny faces that you create. Here you can see some of your lovely creations from a few weeks ago.
This week I would like you to try and create 'Me' using vegetables you may have at home (Don't forget to ask your Mummy or daddy first). I don't mind what you use and if you don't have any googly eyes you could draw some on with a felt tip.
If you have any play dough you could use it to make me some hair or a hat.
I also get very hungry at nursery and there are only carrots here for me to eat. Please could you all try and make me some interesting food to eat. Here you can see some yummy lollipops that someone made, I would love some more of those.
If you have any brothers or sisters and cousins who would like to join the challenge please encourage them to do so.
Don't forget, as many of you are in isolation please take photos of your creations and ask a grown up to send them by email to littleelmsnurseryworthing@gmail.com so I can print them off as well as send them on to Heaton House to the Nannies and Nigel.
I can't wait to see your creations of me.
Love to you all and stay safe.

Recycling challenge
Good morning everyone. I hope you all had another good week and weekend. I spent time eating carrots and practicing my bunny hopping to get some exercise. I am hoping to be able to do somersaults by the time you all come back to see me.
So as I am missing you all so much, this weeks challenge is to recreate a model of yourself using anything you can find in your house.
You could then ask you parents to send a photo of your model to the nursery where I can print off your picture for me to look at each day and we can send a copy to the nannies and grannies who are also missing you too.
When you return to nursery to have fun again you can play with all the models you have all made.
These are the models you have already made of the grown ups who normally play with you at nursery and who are also missing you.
Enjoy making your models and I look forward to seeing you creations soon x
Lots of love
Chamomile
Good afternoon everyone. Chamomile here ready to give you this weeks challenge.
I hope you have all been making green choices at home for your Mummies and Daddies. I have been sending messages to the Easter bunny to let him know you have been making them at nursery so hopefully you have received lots of Easter eggs.
I have been reading this lovely book while I am waiting for you all to come back. It celebrates how different we are.
What I would like you to do while you are out taking some exercise is find a big stone and paint it to make it look like you or a member of staff from Little Elms then bring it to nursery and put it somewhere in our garden for everyone to see when they go past.
All you will need is
A stone
Paint and brushes
Clear nail varnish to cover your stone when it is finished.
When you have painted your stone and are putting it in our garden please get Mummy or Daddy to take a photo of you and put it on Baby’s Days so we know to go and see it and we can tell your friends to look out for it too.
Happy painting everyone.
See you soon. X
Hello everyone, Chamomile here!
Back with another weekly challenge for you all.
Because you've all done such a brilliant job with your rainbows, I thought I'd set you another task.
Your rainbow creations are all around Little Elms and I've loved looking at each of the different pictures you've been sending in. I showed the grown ups too and they loved them, just as much as I did.
This weeks task is to make a treasure basket full of things you love.

To create a treasure basket, you'll need . . .
-One box of any shape or size.
-Lots of creative things - paint, tissue paper, wrapping paper, stickers...
-Objects!
Firstly, decorate your boxes with the creative materials you have. You can make it your favourite colour! I wonder if you could write your names on the box?
When it's done, leave it to dry!
Next, you need to find some different objects to put inside. These could be your favourite toys, something you won, a certificate..anything that is special to you.
If your box is dry, you can fill it up with all of the different objects!
Now you've created a special treasure box full of all your special treasure!
Here is my treasure box!
I love shiny objects and filled my treasure box with all different shiny objects!
I can't wait to see all of your Treasure Boxes. Please remember to send me a picture.
See you soon,
Love Chamomile x
Keep Smiling
Today Chamomile would like to challenge everyone to create a rainbow to make everyone smile. Children love being creative and a rainbow can be made using any resources with or without glue, big or small and indoors or outdoors. She would like everyone to be as creative and as individual as possible to celebrate everyone's individuality.
She would like each child to create their rainbow and email a picture of them holding it as well as a picture of the rainbow on its own to the nursery. We are going to show the world we can stay cheerful through this time.
So when your child/ family have created their rainbow and sent it to Chamomile we will email a copy to Heaton House to cheer the Nannies and Grandad up and we will print a copy to display outside the nursery in the garden.
We will then post photos of the display on Baby's Days so you and your children can see what the pictures look like displayed together and ensure the children don't forget the nursery while they are away.
